Persian cats first came to the United States in the 1800s. Bred in Europe since the 1600s, this breed has been around for a long time and is very popular. Persian cats have beautiful fur coats that need regular grooming keep their fur fluffy and without tangles. But if you like a lap cat, and don’t mind brushing it during tv commercials, this may be the breed for you.
Persians are usually friendly, affectionate, and docile. A short hair version of the breed developed in the 1950s. Short haired persians have the same type of personality as long haired persians, the only difference is the length of the hair.
